I started to learn about freediving like many others: via the internet. Excited to take the Level 1 course for professional instruction, Daniel made me grateful that I had enrolled: there is a lot to learn that youtube doesn't teach - safety being key. Our group consisted of a variety of skilled divers. Daniel's structure addressed each individual's needs without making the others feel left out or waiting. He had a laid back approach which made everyone comfortable, he instilled confidence to help us define our own limits, and a sense of humor to keep us smiling. I'll be looking for him when the time comes for Level II. Mahalo DK!

I've been freediving and spearfishing for a while now, done quite a bit of reading online and in a few books but still learned some new and useful things. As an instructor Matt was awesome. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything and really critique form and technique on the practical portion. Looking forward to diving with FL freedivers again!

My instructor was amazing! Our class consisted of both experienced and inexperienced free divers and he did an awesome job keeping everyone on the same pace and making everyone feel as comfortable as possible. He was extremely encouraging and very calming. I was struggling with the depths on the last day of my test and I do not think I would have passed with out Matt! He was very confidant in us and strongly encouraged me to finish the test. I am so thankful for his teaching abilities and instructor skills! Over all I had an excellent experience taking the FII level 1 course through Florida Freedivers, their amazing staff, and one of their awesome instructors.

Awesome course! Reached new PRs in breath hold and depth, was able to improve all around even though I have been freediving for years before this. Highly recommend anyone to take this course if you want to become a safer and better freediver!

Just went through FII's Level 1 course and I couldn't be happier! Our instructor Matthew not only knows his stuff but is so passionate in his teachings that you know you're in great hands! No question was unimportant with Matthew and was always explained in great detail. In the actual water his demeanor is so calm and motivating that is just makes your dives in open blue water that much more fun and relaxed! Looking forward to the other classes Florida Freedivers offers (Level 2) and especially excited for them to start with their regular dive practices and spear trips! All in one outfit at FLF; great staff, gear, classes & fun what more can you ask for?
