The level 1 course was hands down the best thing possible for anyone who is just getting into the sport of freediving or spearfishing. Before taking level 1 my max depth was about 30 ft with a hunting depth of about 15-20, which for a recreational spearfisherman is painfully average. When it came time to complete my open water session my new personal best is now 70 feet and my static apnea time went from 1 minute flat to 3 minutes and six seconds. F.I.I will open up a whole new door to the first time diver or anyone who feels they want to improve in the sport. I also now feel much safer and more comfortable in the water thanks to the new safety and rescue techniques that level 1 teaches. Thank you F.I.I.

# 0 Waterman Survival Extended
Instructor: Joe Sheridan
"I can honestly say that taking Joe's [Sheridan] class has changed everything I thought I knew about freediving and handling uncomfortable situations in the water. I've surfed and competed on a professional level for over 10 years, and within that time experienced several "close calls" in some of world's largest surf. My comfort level has increased 100 percent with this course. Joe's knowledge, expertise, and demeanor are unsurpassed...period." "I can't "Thank" Joe, and FII enough for presenting this class to the public. EVERY watersport enthusiasts should take this course!"

Oliver is an excellent instructor and really took the time to work with all of his students to make sure they were getting the proper technique and diving better. He keeps the class sizes small so that he can address the individual needs of his students and provides the time to practice the skills. I've been freediving/spearfishing for years but the skills and proper form he taught me in just a couple days made me a better and far safer diver. I would absolutely recommend Oliver and Drift Freediving to anyone, and I plan on taking his level 2 course as well!

# 0 Level 1 Freediver
Instructor: Jon Ammerman
I took my Level 1 last month in Maui with Jon Ammerman and I wanted to let you know that Jon was a fantastic instructor and the class was excellent. As a high school science teacher, I interact with many instructors and Jon's instruction was excellent. Jon has a great rapport with people and made everyone feel comfortable; especially in the open water.

I just would like to tell you what a great job Brandon Gross did with our FII level one freediving class a few weeks ago. First off he was a very cool guy which made the class super relaxing and not feel like a stiff classroom setting. All of his analogies were on point and really relatable making it super easy to learn the material. Brandon made the extra effort to give individual time to each of us, that really helped me on parts of the course that where I struggled.
