Neal is a 10/10 instructor. Very knowledgeable, very patient. Always felt safe and like he could handle whatever was happening. Didn't know anything about him ahead of the class and didn't know really much about freediving, but he turned out to be everything one could hope for in a teacher, and now I am confident in my diving. I think the course was amazing. It has motivated me to take the Level 2 course and eventually obtain my instructor certification to try and intorduce this sport to others. The only feedback i would give is with regard to some type of introduction to freediving course. We had one guy in my class who wanted to learn to freedive but was nowhere near ready for the level 1 class. He needed a solid training in equipment use and a slower introduction to the water. He quite durring the confined session which was the right decision, but I hope it doesnt forever keep him clear of this sport. I know PFI offers an intro to freediving class that may be a good feeder course for the level 1 training. If I was to become an instructor, teaching a class like this would be something I would be interested in. I am sure you have your reasons for not doing it, but it may be something to consider to provide a lower barrier to entry from both a skill and cost persepective. Thank You!!

Neal was an amazing instructor. You can tell he is passionate about the sport and takes pride in sharing it with other. Neal has a very calm way of explaining and helping everyone which i think is extremely important in this sport. The class was very safety and skills based. I have always enjoyed being in the water, but through this course and the guidane of my instructor i was able to achieve a personal best static breath hold and personal best for depth. I will definately be back for my level 2 course in the near future.
