Excellent course to learn about nutrition and training to become a better freediver. I would recommend a more comprehensive workbook. Something that provides an ability to track workouts, diet, and progress and encourages certain things to people who have no general direction after the class is over. While successful athletes have figured out how to log these things on their own or from coaches early in life, adding support to students who were not exposed to athletics most of their life would be a game changer.

This course was amazing. I took the course because I wanted to be safer in the water when snorkeling and diving with my kid. What I found is that I was missing safety techniques and a basic understanding of physiology needed to be a good dive partner. Now that I know, I will definitely be a safer diver. The techniques learned in this class have made me much more comfortable in the water. In addition, the confidence from getting a taste of static apnea training, and learning how to safely dive to 20m is priceless. Daniel and Kristin have a wealth of knowledge to share, are generous with their time, patient and clear. I am grateful to have been able to learn from their example. I felt comfortable and safe in the enclosed water and open water sessions, set some new personal bests, and got to see my first pod of Spinner dolphins! In addition, the community of divers I've met through this course is super friendly and has turned out to be a great way to meet new dive partners. Thank you so much!

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from Daniel. All the dive shops I've been to in town recommended his course. Daniel and Kristin are patient, generous with their time, and clear. They have a no nonsense approach to the material that is grounded in the great curriculum, and their deep experience. Safety was important to me and they explained this material clearly and provided excellent practice scenarios. It's great to dive with people so talented and comfortable in the water. Their practical advice about equipment, choosing dive spots, and watching local conditions was also invaluable. I would imagine taking any level of course from them would be amazing.

I took the Level 1 course in September in Homer, Alaska with instructor John Dornellas. I had the jitters and was a little nervous about the class. That all changed once class staryed rolling amd John started the classroom session. It felt laid back but still very serious on all the safety protocol and rescue techniques. The pool session went great. John was great in the way that if wr didnt quite understand something he would take the time and let us try each activity until we all undetstood safety aspects well. The next day was even better on the open water session. We had a great day on the water and same thing if we had any problems John was thete to help us out. I would recomennd 10/10 taking a course with this institute. Looking forward to my next course.
